One of the leaderboards at Eikenhof substation experienced a flash-over (an electric discharge over or around the surface of an insulator) on Monday, March 4, as a result, many areas in Randburg and surrounds did not have water.

While power is restored, some areas remain without water.

“I got a call that the clinic was shutting down due to not having any water, so I called Johannesburg Water to come and refill the JoJo tank,” said Harman.

“We ask that the public doesn’t come to the clinic to take out water from the tanks because the clinic is going to shut down.”
