“The pop-up experience makes it unique and a limited-time offering for a few weeks a year,” explained third student and sales and marketing and front desk manager for the pop-up restaurant Werner de Swardt.

The restaurant opened on August 28 and runs until October 8.

“The food is excellent, and the fine dining is perfect for a date night. Sundays is eat as much as you like for a set price. It has a cosmopolitan theme, so you eat food from around the world.”

School director Stephen Hickmore said this is the ultimate experience: exposing students to real-life trials and tribulations in a kitchen and restaurant.”

“There are so many moving parts so there is more pressure than the students realise,” he said. “But the exposure is good, and it certainly helps our graduates, who all get jobs, and many of them go overseas.”
