These traits were recently shown by the Vuleka St Mark’s football team victory at the Acacia Private School tournament. Their win highlighted their remarkable journey to the prestigious gold cup.

Gadifele Moeng, secretary of St Mark, said that beyond the praises, this achievement serves as a source of inspiration, displayed the potential in each person and the major advantages of community togetherness.

The journey of the team to championship glory was one marked by relentless passion. From the first whistle of the tournament, it was evident that this was a squad driven by an insatiable desire to succeed.

They opened the tournament against hosts Acacia and cruised to an 11–0 victory, setting the tone high. The second match ended in a tense 1–1 draw with Bordeaux Primary, followed by another 2–1 victory in a thrilling encounter against Northern Blues Academy. Lastly, they won 2–0 Against British International, to cement their claim to the gold cup.
