Help Anna-Maria Lemmerer add hope to the ill-treated

Donate a teddy bear to North Ridings teddy bear lady.

Anna-Marie Lemmerer (74) resides in North Riding and her passion is helping those who are unable to help themselves by shining love and hope in every room that she walks into or soul that she meets.

Lemmerer collects, buys, and donates teddy bears to orphanages, children’s homes, children who have been victims of abuse and the elderly in retirement villages. She sells plants and makes use of this capital to buy teddy bears from various organisations such as the Randburg SPCA.
She has donated 731 teddy bears to 21 various homes including in Botswana.

Anna-Marie Lemmerer is ready to spread love to those in need with her teddy bears.

Some of the organisations that Lemmerer had donated to thanked her for her kindness and shared the impact that her generosity had on them.

“This is not just a toy but becomes a very close and special friend to all, as they embark on their journey to healing,” read a statement from The Teddy Bear Foundation.A statement from the Celebration Retirement Estate read, “Residents who have walked or driven along Celebration Retirement Estate passed the outdoor chess set and towards the sales office, must have seen the collection of teddy bears on the lawn outside unit 77. This is the residence of Anna Lemmerer who has a large collection of these toys as well as pot plants… Anna regularly buys more bears from charities and non-profit organisations such as the SPCA. These, in turn, she donates to orphanages and homes for abandoned babies and children. The bears thus are a reminder that there are people who do offer support.”

Lemmerer thanked everyone, whoever they might be, for continuously offering support to the needy.

In closing, she appealed to the public to help her help those in need by donating a teddy bear. If you have old teddy bears at home that you probably won’t ever use again, give them away and let the teddy bear serve a far greater purpose than collecting dust, she said.
Lemmerer said she would clean and sanitise the teddy bears before delivery.
