Bordeaux resident, Erin Domingo, brags about her furry best friend

What does your pet mean to you?

Believe it or not, but pets have a plethora of strange, different – but mostly cool – personalities just like humans. Pets can play an important role in our lives and we grow such a strong attachment to them, that they become a part of our family.

Bordeaux resident Erin Domingo brags about her furry best friend, Mr Pickle. During an interview with the Randburg Sun, she highlighted why she loved her cat and the role that her cat has played in her life.

“I have always heard the saying that your pets become your emotional support system. I believe this to be true, however, it feels extra special when you can feel and experience it for yourself.”

Domingo shared that her ginger cat in her home had been a part of their family for almost 10 years and was originally named Pickle. She added that as he grew older his name was upgraded to the prestigious title of ‘Mr Prickle’ from time to time.

“As much as he is our pet, it seems as though he does most of the controlling around the house. My mother had a very strong connection to him before her unfortunate passing, and ever since then he has grown attached to me.”

She shared that she was so grateful that he had chosen her. She said he had no idea how much he had helped her emotionally and spiritually.

“Although animals cannot talk, I truly believe they can provide a sense of comfort and support that needs not to be vocalised. They get you, and I love that Pickle gets me.”

In closing, she emphasised how he was her best friend in a very round, chubby, ginger form and she loved that about him.
