The Linden Police advises gymgoers to ensure that the padlocks they use to lock their lockers are safe as items are being stolen from their lockers.

According to Linden Police Station’s communication officer, Sergeant Takalani Sibiya, a victim of this crime alleged that he was in the gym changing room and had placed his clothes, bank cards, R500 in cash and an Anonimo Nautilo Classic men’s watch in the locker and locked it with the padlock.

People in the changing room sat and watched him put his valuables into the locker. “He went to the swimming pool area, finished swimming then went back to where he had placed his stuff.”
He discovered that the padlock was missing and all his belonging were stolen.

When he returned, he discovered that the locker had been broken into and the above-mentioned items were stolen and the padlock was missing.”
