Local school held seasonal sporting event

Knights Preparatory School held an eventful sports afternoon.

The atmosphere was filled with a plethora of excitement and nerves as the Knights Preparatory School soccer boys competed against Reddford House Northcliff on May 11.

The day saw action from learners in the U10, U11 and U13 divisions.

As soon as the away team arrived, the Knights Prep coaches wasted no time, and the games begun. The first two teams to play were the U10 and U11 boys, who played two halves of 15 minutes.

There were near-misses, penalty shoot-outs, moments filled with joy and some of disappointment and tears. With both teams having played exceptionally well, the boys’ U10 and U11 teams from Reddford House Northcliff were victorious in their divisions.

The U13 boys were the last teams to play for the day. They played two halves of 25 minutes each. Delight Uzoamaka from Knights Preparatory School scored a goal that ended in their team’s triumph.

The boys received immense support from their parents, coaches and other learners from their schools, cheering them on throughout the course of this event.
