Two attacked by a swarm of bees
COSMO CITY – Two patients were transported by Emer-G-Med to the nearest hospital for further care.
Two men, between 30 and 35 years old, were injured after they were attacked by a swarm of bees at around 17:20 on January 10.
Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene on Boundary Road, Cosmo City. They found that the one man had suffered over 100 stings and was in a critical condition.
“Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilise him before he was taken to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Emer-G-Med in a Facebook statement.
“A second man suffered approximately 10 stings and was treated and stabilised on the scene before being taken to the hospital for further care.”
Reports from the scene claim that the first man was attacked by the bees when he was walking past the hive, the second man then ran to his aid.
