Obstacle course in Bartlett Park

BOSKRUIN – Local sports events company hosts obstacle course and run in Bartlett Park.


The community got together for a day of fun and fitness in Bartlett Park, Boskruin, on 10 April.

It was the second installment of a new event hosted by The Don’s OCR. There were 3km and 5km obstacle course/runs for participants to try out.
Everyone received a race pack and water stations kept them fueled along the way. At the finish line, a key chain awaited for every participant along with food and ice cream.

“We held our first prize giving at this event, where the top three male and female athletes each received a prize,” said Sheldon O’Connor, who organised the event along with his girlfriend, Tasmin West.

“A huge thank you to Lekker Ice Cream, Unique Techniques and Gasoline Denim Co for sponsoring the prizes. All of these companies are fairly new and looking to grow so please go check them out and support them. Local is lekker.”

The next events will be held at the park on 30 May and 5 June. Tickets are R180 per person and entries close on 17 May and 25 May for the respective races.
