A victim was shot and killed in broad daylight in Cosmo City, and the Cosmo City police are searching for suspects and witnesses.
Eyewitnesses on social media claimed that suspects opened fire on their victim on Liberia Street.
Police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan explained that motives for the shooting are unknown at this time.
He said that contrary to social media speculation that the incident was gang or ethnic related, the police can confirm that it was not.
“Our detectives are investigating the incident, with evidence found on the scene and information provided by eyewitnesses, and further details surrounding the incident cannot be divulged at this time.
They are working hard to bring the suspects involved in the incident to book, and we appeal to further persons who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.”
