31 October is traditionally a big day in the normally quiet suburb, with trick or treaters never missing an opportunity to roam the streets in search of delicious treats.
With Halloween falling on a Saturday night this year, the celebrations were bigger than ever. Hundreds of people roamed from scary home to scarier home, filling up bags and buckets with a week’s worth of sugar-highs.
Home-owners spared no effort in ensuring that the event was one to behold – from cobwebs and balloons to animatronic monsters (and even a real-life monster or two), Sharonlea’s trick or treaters were treated to an absolute no-holds-barred spectacle.
From the littlest princesses to age-old witches, and even a few bloody pups, families came together to enjoy a wonderful night of festivities, before the skies opened up and a massive downpour returned all to their secret lairs, until next year.
