Covid-19: Total positive cases pass the 700 000 mark

The recovery rate is however still standing strong at 90 percent with a total of 629 260 recoveries having been recorded.

The total number of people who have now been infected with Covid-19 has now passed the 700 000 mark, with a 700 203 now having contracted the virus. 2 019 of these are new infections since the last report.

To date 18 370 people have died, with 61 of these taking place since the last report. Of the 61 new deaths 14 are from the Eastern Cape, 21 from the Free State, 11 from KwaZulu Natal, 4 from Gauteng and 11 from the Northern Cape.
