JMPD outreach and communications unit visits Randburg Taxi Rank
RANDBURG – Pedestrians were educated on road safety tips.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) outreach and communications unit and the City of Johannesburg’s Department of Public Safety visited Randburg Taxi Rank on 11 October.
According to a series of tweets by JMPD, the two departments engaged with taxi operators and pedestrians on road safety as October is Transport Month.

“Pedestrians were educated on road safety tips because each and every day, pedestrians lose their lives on public roads. Pedestrians have to adhere to the rules of the road to avoid being a statistic and not forgetting to adhere to Covid-19 regulations,” read the tweet from JMPD.
