Covid-19: Recovery rate continues to rise

A total of 3 747 101 tests have been conducted, with 2 125 323 having been conducted privately and 1 621 778 in the public sphere.

With the number of Covid-19 infections increasing rapidly every day, a recovery rate of 88 per cent is encouraging.

To date, 633 015 people have tested positive for the virus, 14 563 people have lost their lives, and 554 887 people have recovered.

Since the last report, 174 more people have sadly lost their lives to Covid-19 – 39 from KZN, 50 from Gauteng, 24 from the Eastern Cape, 8 from the Free State, 17 from the Western Cape, 9 from the North West and 27 Mpumalanga.
