Four suspects nabbed after Strijdom Park burglary

The suspects were caught with tools commonly used in burglaries, as well as items suspected to be stolen from the business.

Four suspects were caught red-handed after breaking into the premises of a Strijdom Park business.

Randburg Police Station spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja said that the suspects broke into the premises in the middle of the night. “We were notified of the incident and responded to the scene immediately. Our officers caught the suspects red-handed at the business premises,” he said.

The suspects were caught with tools commonly used in burglaries, as well as items suspected to be stolen from the business.

“The suspects, who are aged between 24 and 30 years, are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon to face charges of being in possession of burglary implements and the possession of suspected stolen property,” he said.

Randburg Police Station Commander Brigadier Michelle Jones applauded her police members and all other involved for their quick response to the situation, which resulted in the arrest. She further encouraged the Randburg community to continue to be vigilant, ensure that their alarm systems are working, and report all incidents of crime to their local police station.
