Take note of Rea Vaya bus services for Easter weekend

JOBURG – Public transport including Rea Vaya has been labelled an essential service during the 21-day lockdown.

Rea Vaya has alerted commuters of bus services’ times during the upcoming Easter weekend from 10 April.

Public transport including Rea Vaya has been labelled an essential service during the 21-day lockdown. Rea Vaya has been operating under the disaster management schedule in the mornings at 5am-9am and in the afternoons between 4pm-8pm just like the taxi services.

They do not operate off-peak between 4pm and 8pm. There will be no Rea Vaya bus services on 10 April, however, bus services will continue on Saturday (11 April), Sunday (12 April) and on Monday (13 April) operating under the disaster management schedule.

Rea Vaya clarified that they do not operate on a Good Friday nor on Christmas Day and commuters need to find alternative transport.
