Curro Aurora matriculants achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.
Head of the high school, Dion Kotze said, “The most special component of Curro Aurora School is the absolutely brilliant Curro Aurora learner. Our learners are what makes our school special. We can definitely celebrate our motto of carpe diem as we celebrate our 100 per cent pass rate, our increased bachelor’s degree pass rate and our higher distinctions per candidate ratio.”

Top achiever Stian Thomson was said to be on his way to New Zealand and was set to study biomedical sciences with the option to move to medical sciences at the University of Auckland.

Deputy principal and FET phase head of Curro Aurora Sarah-Jane Olivier noted that ‘the top 10 is worked out based on the overall average, not on the number of distinctions’ after the exams.
