A photograph says 1 000 words at Delta Park.

DELTA PARK – The scenic Delta Park is the location for photography for a cause.

Morgan Brink of Neon Productions has combined her loved for animals with her professional passion. Brink collaborated with sister-in-law Lexi Cameron and the Lions Club Midrand to raise money for two animal shelters this festive season.

Brink offered photo shoots to community members with their pets at a discounted price, where half proceeds are to be donated equally between two animal shelters, compounded by food and other donations from the families photographed.

“I love animals, so I wanted to just do something,” was the sentiment of Brink at the lush Delta Park. Brink elaborated that she wanted to give more of a contribution beyond money to the Midrand SPCA and Friends of Rescued animals (Fora). Since Brink has her own production company, she opted to offer the photo shoots at the park. This is the second time that she has offered the discounted shoots, where she facilitated the first shoot last year and has planned to take the concept to Cape Town in April of next year.

Brink and Cameron chose the expansive, lush Delta Park for their location due to its centrality, well-kept upkeep and free entry.

“We’re just ecstatic about it!” were the words of Moira Theron, a member of the Lions Club Midrand, who supported the efforts of Brink. Theron spoke to the different spheres of the international volunteer group’s involvement and how animals form one of the designated areas of interest. Members of the club visited Brink and Cameron throughout the day as a show of support.
