Driver of a car trapped in a car following a collision

FERNDALE – Once treated, the patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.


At 10.44pm Thursday night (17 October), Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Harley Street in Ferndale Randburg.

According to a released statement by Shawn Herbst from the communications office of Netcare 911, reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision with one of the vehicles coming to rest against an electricity box.

“One person, a 42-year-old adult male had sustained minor injuries in the collision and was treated on the scene while the fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to safely remove him from the vehicle,” said Herbst.

Herbst added that once treated, the patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

All necessary authorities were present at the scene.
