Woman left seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision

According to Netcare 911, reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision.

Shawn Herbst from the communications office of Netcare 911 said that one driver sustained serious injuries and required advanced life support intervention to be stabilised while the fire and rescue services used the Jaws of Life to free him.

“The other driver was found to be in a stable condition and declined ambulance transportation to the hospital,” said Herbst.

Herbst also said that once treated, the patient was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
