Man sustains several stab wounds in an assault
BLAIRGOWRIE – A man, believed to be in his 30s, sustained moderate to serious injuries after an apparent assault on Blairgowrie Drive, yesterday morning (30 June).
ER24 Spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 3.30am, they found a man seated in the vehicle.
“He was found to have sustained several stab wounds,” said van Huyssteen.
“It is believed that the man was assaulted before crashing his vehicle into a tree.
“ER24 treated him at the scene before transporting him to hospital for further medical care.”
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to ER24 paramedics.
