#IMadeMyMark: Voting going well, but many despondent with long lines
JOBURG – Voting stations will close at 9pm tonight, but those waiting in line at that time will be accommodated.
As voting continues across the Randburg precinct, constituency head, Kate Lorimer has said that the day has been a success so far.
Lorimer said, “So far, the voting process is going well for those who have come out to vote.
“Some issues, such as a lack of ballot papers have caused long lines, leaving many to grow despondent, saying that they will either come back later, or not at all. So that is disappointing,” said Lorimer.
Lorimer however hoped that all registered voters would cast their votes, as voting continued into the evening.
She continued, “But we are happy with the day so far, and hope that there will be no issues going into this evening.”
