St Stithians Girls’ come home with a bag of gold medals

LYME PARK – The St Stithians Girls' College's talented rowers.


LYME PARK – St Stithians Girls’ College returned from their rowing tour in East London with loads of gold medals.

The girls competed in the Buffalo Regatta and the Selborne Regatta.

Their results were as follows:

Buffalo Regatta

  • U16 scull – Shelby Schoeman won gold
  • U16 double – Shelby Schoeman and Skye Tucker won gold
  • U16 quad – Lilitha Ngcwembe, Shannon Reid, Folosade Peleowo, Emma Aitken and cox Kaileen Govender won gold
  • 1st double – Jordan Korevaar and Shelby Schoeman won bronze
  • 1st oct – Moshoeu Khwinana, Mia Rogers, Megan Cronje, Rutendo Kawelenga, Dominique Dos Reis, Jessica Endenburg, Kiera Gouws, Vuyolwethu Mashinini and cox Julia Deverell came second.

Selborne Regatta

  • U16 scull – Shelby Schoeman won gold, Skye Tucker won bronze
  • U16 double – Shelby Schoeman and Skye Tucker won gold
  • 1st oct – Moshoeu Khwinana, Mia Rogers, Megan Cronje, Rutendo Kawelenga, Dominique Dos Reis, Jessica Endenburg, Kiera Gouws, Vuyolwethu Mashinini and cox Julia Deverell came second.
