One Small Act of Kindness is a charity organisation whose acts of kindness vary from feeding the homeless and clothing the needy to assisting animals in need.
This year they’ve created their famous ‘golden oldies Christmas boxes’ which contain the following:
- Body lotion
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Soap
- 2 x small packets of tissues
- 1 x sachet powdered juice
- 2 x small packets biscuits
- 1 x small packet savoury biscuits
- 1 x facecloth
- 1 x slab of chocolate or sweets
- 1 x magazine
- 1x face cloth.
They are going to deliver these boxes to people in old age homes, who have no family or friends.
Last year they delivered more than 600 boxes but this year they would like to set the bar higher, by achieving 1 000 deliveries.
They urge people to add more ‘goodies’ to their boxes, should they wish to do so.
You can either buy a box or donate the items but people are free to create their own ‘golden oldies box’. The boxes cost about R200.
