Exam readiness is a priority for Scholarly Organisation

COSMO CITY – Scholarly Organisation helped Cosmo City learners prepare for their exams.

Scholarly Organisation recently had an official launch and activation in the form of an exam readiness programme at the Far North Secondary School.

On the day, over 100 learners consisting of matrics and Grade 11s were helped to hone their skills for free in mathematics, mathematical literacy, physical science, chemistry, accounting and life sciences.

Scholarly Organisation is a positive youth development NPC that assists learners in tutoring in various subjects, work readiness programmes, job shadowing opportunities, career guidance and tertiary enrolment and academic readiness.

Director and founder of Neeta Dildar of Scholarly Organisation said, “We are a network of professionals that got together to give back to the community and youth. The news spread of the exam readiness programme and we even had kids as far and wide as Edenvale visiting us for the tutoring sessions.”

The event started with a ‘grit’ assessment, and thereafter, with the collaboration with Shanga Fitness, the organisation activated their grit programme, which alleviated the nervousness and built confidence in the learners.

The youngsters were given snack packs and water to keep them going into the motivation and engagement part of the programme.

Dildar added, “Lots of team building activities ensued, followed by the handing out of exam stationary packs for all the youngsters. As part of the exam readiness in the pursuant weeks, we spent Saturdays and Sundays doing high-performance revision sessions with the matrics.

“The school management team is enthusiastic about our programme and will be commencing our full programme next year starting with the Grade 10 cohort, taking them to Grade 12. At the moment we are assisting learners with their NSFAS applications for 2019.”
