Youngster makes her iTunes debut

SUNDOWNER – A Curro Aurora youngster's song is now available to download internationally.

A young Curro Aurora songstress is aiming to make waves on the international music scene.

Jeanique Fourie is only 13 years old and already has her first single available to download on iTunes and Google Play.

“I had so much fun producing my own original song Stand a Chance. We have been working on it for most of the year,” she said.

The song is about how a teenager can relate to their celebrity crush or a love who they have been seeking for the longest time.

“Producing a song is not as difficult as you think it would be, and it took a week to record the song, then about two months to put all bits together for the production,” Jeanique added.

As a girl of many talents, she was a cheerleader at the school for many years and is part of the school choir and drama clubs.

Among her many medals and achievements she also made it into the South African team to represent her country in New York at the Talent America competition earlier this year.

Jeanique said, “Music is my life, and I also love dancing and acting. My dream is to sing and dance onstage for thousands of people. It would mean the world to me if everyone could hear my song, all you need to do is to go onto iTunes or Google Play and search for Stand a Chance by Jeanique Fourie.

“My school really helped me a lot to build my confidence through the performing arts programme and has supported me in every show that I have been in. My friends are so supportive.”

Her next song is already written and is currently being produced for release early next year.
