Randburg Sun invites you to trick or treat with us

LOERIE PARK – The event takes place this afternoon and they'll be prizes for best dressed.

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat.

The Randburg Sun is thrilled to announce that we will be out and about this Halloween to make sure that all the festive fun is caught on camera.

Last year’s trick or treat event at Loerie Park in Randpark Ridge.

Catch us at Loerie Park (behind Randridge Mall), where we will be giving out treats at one of Randburg’s most popular annual Halloween events.

The event includes a family picnic, loads of stalls where you can purchase homemade goodies, food trucks and candy floss.

Bring along your own blankets, chairs and a picnic basket and make an evening of it.

At sunset, the fun really gets going.

A best-dressed competition will be held at 6pm with loads of fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Then, what all the little ones wait all year for, a fun trick or treat walk through the park to gather up those delicious treats from our wonderful community members.

The Randburg SPCA will also be there and would like to encourage you to bring along some treats for their four-legged friends as well – this is a family event, after all.

Your most-loved furry friends will be allowed to accompany you on the day – please just make sure to keep them leashed.

Gates open at 3pm and the picnic ends at 8pm.

Plenty of toilets will be available, sponsored by Pizza Del Forno Bromhof and Randpark Ridge.

Delicious sweets have been sponsored by Aqualand SA Swimming School and Robbie’s holidays, while prizes for the fancy dress competition have been sponsored by Pizza Del Forno Randpark Ridge, iJump, Randpark Ridge Spur, Butter Cupcakes and Kameraz.

Aqualand SA Swimming School, Seeff, Henderson Butho Consulting and Reflections Beauty Salon have sponsored sweet tables, while security for the evening is being provided by 7 Arrows and CSS.

ER24 will also be present to ensure all trick or treaters will be well taken care of.
