Excited youngsters filled the Rand Park High School hall to watch the talents of their fellow classmates at the school’s annual talent show on 12 and 13 October.
The event was brimming with young talent as 37 solo and group acts were showcased on each evening.
A variety of performances was varied and well executed with dancers, praise singers, poets, artists, musicians, vocalists, and the school band Suspended. For their debut, the new Grade 8 band wowed the audience with their performances.
The show’s coordinator and educator Lisa Palmer said, “Our audiences were incredibly supportive of our performers who worked hard to prepare for the showcase.
“Each year’s show has us in awe of the young talent that exists within our school and we are so pleased to offer an opportunity for them to perform on our stage.”
A new introduction to this year’s event was the ‘Pop-up Talent’ item where two Grade 5 learners from Rand Park Primary School, Katy Lesser and Joe Harvey, gave a special performance on the high school’s stage.
The school plans to repeat this idea in future events.
