#RandburgLindenDerby: Randjie captain to lead team in FNB Classic Clash

Hoërskool Randburg will be relying on the leadership of Stephan Bresler when they line up against Hoërskool Randburg in the FNB Classic Clash this weekend, 12 May.

Having been in the first team for two years, Bresler brings experience and a steady head to proceedings.

The 1,89m tall prop’s strengths lie in the line-outs and his ball-carrying abilities. He is looking forward to competing in his last derby and wants to lead his team to glory.

“The season has been full of ups and downs, but we are looking forward to Saturday’s Derby,” said Stephan.

Randburg’s team this weekend will be a combination of players from Grade 11 and 12 players that bonded since the end of the last year.

“My philosophy in life is that I lead by example and encourage my teammates. It is an honour and privilege to be the captain of the Randburg team.”

Although Randburg has not won a single match against Linden in the Classic Clash since 2014, the Randburg captain wants to set the score straight.

“As always, a derby will be a tough, competitive game from start to finish.”
