Trinityhouse tennis twins make for double the trouble

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge Preparatory School share the joy in the success of two of their tennis players.

Mischa and Alexander Zverev, Jamie and Andy Murray, John and Patrick McEnroe, and Bob and Mike Bryan are some of the world’s greatest tennis siblings.

Now, Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge Preparatory School can rightfully peg themselves as having a set of their own must-watch tennis siblings in Joshua and Matthew Tromp.

The twins are making names for themselves in Gauteng tennis.

Joshua Tromp was selected for the Central Gauteng U13A tennis team.

Marketing officer for the school, Robyn Aingworth said earlier this year, Joshua was selected for the Central Gauteng U13A tennis team.

“He played in the SA Primary Schools Interprovincial Tennis Tournament held in Bloemfontein recently,” she said.

Seeded number four in the province, Joshua won all his singles matches against the number four seeds from different provinces.

“He lost one match where he played against a higher seeded player.”

Matthew was selected for the Central Gauteng U13B tennis team.

“He was called upon to play at the end of the tournament after one of the players was injured.”

Aingworth said Matthew won the singles and the doubles match that he played in.
