Ann Harding Home declares the lucky winner
BOSKRUIN – Ann Harding Cheshire Home in Boskruin finally announces the lucky winner of the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle.
Ann Harding Cheshire Home in Boskruin announced the winner of the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle at an event held at the home.
It was a tough going campaign for the home, but they were proud to give away the prize to winner Dale McKnight.
The lucky winner from Cape Town has been a long-time supporter of the Cheshire Home.
McKnight flew up from the Cape to volunteer for an event and purchased one ticket.
The draw for the vehicle took place on 29 March at an event held at the home audited by Nolands Auditors.
The home aimed to sell 2 000 raffle tickets to go towards purchasing new transportation vehicles, but only managed to sell 606 tickets, totalling almost R150 000.
Fundraising manager for the home, Jackie Kyle said, “Even though the total sold was disappointing, all money will go towards purchasing new vehicles… It just means that we will have to wait a bit longer for them.
“We are keeping our fingers crossed that, in the future, more opportunities like this will arise to drive community involvement in our home.”
