SUNDOWNER – Two Curro Aurora cricketers have a bright future ahead of them as they have been making waves in their sport.

Two Curro Aurora cricketers have a bright future ahead of them after a great start to their season.

Curro Aurora’s 1st XI cricket captain, Bradley Easton, has amassed nearly 1 000 runs in a phenomenal season.

Easton has made 978 runs in total, at an average of 139,1 per game.

Easton has batted in 15 innings so far, in which he scored four centuries against Crawford Lonehill (143), King David Linksfield (105 not out), De La Salle (115) and Lenasia Invitation (112 not out).

He also made four half-centuries including 99 not out against Bryanston and 90 not out against Benoni.

Adrian Ferreira, head of high school sport said, “Brad plays club cricket for Delfos in the Premier League Two, who currently top their league’s standings.

He has made 18 centuries since he started playing in primary school and his highest score is 151 not out.”

Ricky Brules-Salgueiro opens the bowling for the 1st XI Curro Aurora cricket team.

In the 16 matches played this season, he took 29 wickets at an average of 14,5 runs per wicket.

Ferreira added, “Ricky’s best figures are five for 24 off 10 overs against De La Salle and he also plays Premier League Two for Old Parktonians.”
