St Stithians hosts their first U16 basketball tournament

SANDTON – Local college looks forward to hosting its first-ever U16 basketball tournament from 23 to 25 February.

 

St Stithians College looks forward to hosting its first-ever U16 basketball tournament and will welcome teams from across South Africa and the greater African continent.

Teams from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe will descend onto the basketball courts at the college from 23 to 25 February.

The 26 teams will compete in multiple games over three action-packed days of basketball. The tournament winner will be chosen through a series of competitive pool games.

The quarter finals will begin on the morning of 25 February, with the final scheduled to take place that afternoon.

The event has been organised by a small group of dedicated parents and is supported by St Stithians staff members.

The highlight of the event will be the atmosphere of community members cheering for their friends on the court, playing their hearts out to take home the trophy.

With a great selection of teams, the event promises basketball fans some exciting games filled with a few slam dunks and three pointers.
