A shining night to welcome the festive season

LYME PARK – Celebrities including Danny K, Kelly Khumalo, Ross Learmoth, Claire Johnston and Majozi, among others, took to the stage to serenade the crowd with traditional Christmas songs.

 

Nothing says Christmas quite like the gentle glow of hundreds of candles and the beautiful hum of Christmas carols.

St Stithians College hosted the annual Jacaranda FM and Spar Carols by Candlelight, and the event certainly did not disappoint.

Celebrities including Danny K, Kelly Khumalo, Ross Learmoth, Claire Johnston and Majozi, among others, took to the stage to serenade the crowd with traditional Christmas songs.

Adults and children alike delighted in the open air event which welcomed the festive season in the best way possible.

Through the event, more than 71 huge boxes of toys were collected for this year’s charities which include the Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis, Hugh’s Haven, Child Welfare (Midrand and Tshwane) and Hanna Charity.

Through the sales of electric candles and songbooks, a total of R27 200 was also raised for Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels.

Christmas is about bringing family and friends together, and this year’s Carols By Candlelight did exactly that.
