Parktown Boys’ to host swimming gala to raise funds for Guild Cottage

JOBURG – Parktown Boys' High School will once again host their co-ed swim gala where they hope to raise funds for Guild Cottage.

Parktown Boys’ High School, in partnership with Madswimmers, is inviting schools to participate in their co-ed swimming gala to raise funds for Guild Cottage.

Guild Cottage is a rehabilitation home and place of safety for children who have been physically, emotionally, and sexually abused.

Tracey Fin, the organiser of the event said the gala would take place at the school on 23 February.

This is not the first gala the school’s aquatic and water polo committee has hosted. They previously held a successful gala in which eight schools participated and managed to raise R9 240 for the home.

To participate in the charitable event each swimmer from each school is asked to donate R20.
