UPDATE: City power responds to exposed cable issues
JUKSKEI PARK – City Power plans to resolve exposed street light cable issue by 25 September.
Following weeks of emails and telephone calls, City Power provided a date on when the utility would fix the exposed cables connecting a streetlight to an electricity box.
In a previous article regarding the exposed cables, Randburg Sun communicated the issue with City Power. City Power was asked when the cable would be secured in order to avoid an injury of a person or pet.

At the time, the utility had not been able to give a date but on 21 September, Sydney Mphahlele emailed the paper stating that the matter would be resolved soon.
Mphahlele said, “It is a temporary cable connection and it will be removed by the weekend [weekend between 22 and 24 September]”.
An update will be made after the weekend to assess whether the matter has been resolved.
