Tough Adrienne Hersch Randburg Harriers Challenge is selling out fast

PRAEGVILLE – Only 6 000 spots are available for the Hersch Randburg Harriers Challenge. The 5km, 10km and 21.1km runs will offer a real challenge.

Tickets are running out for the 34th annual Adrienne Hersch Randburg Harriers Challenge so if you are interested, put your shoes on and run to your computer to make an online booking.

The 5km, 10km and 21.1km event on 10 September starts at the Randburg Harriers club , at the Randburg Sports Complex. The tough hills in Randburg will prove a great obstacle, and also provide a talking point for families and friendly runners alike.

The challenge is race three of four in the Vitality Series and R50 000 worth of prizes is up for grabs and all entrants will receive a goodie bag.

“Entries have been capped at 6 000 and there are currently less than 1 000 entries for the 10km and 21.1km races still available,” said Harriers public relations officer, John Neale, who thinks all the tickets will be sold out soon. Entries close on 1 September. No entries will be sold on race day.

“This will be the largest event, measured by athlete participation, that Randburg Harriers has ever hosted, and we are excited by the prospect of collaborating with Adrienne Hersch Properties and Discovery Vitality to present the biggest and best Adrienne Hersch Challenge ever.”

Neale added that runners could look forward to the challenge, to receiving well-deserved goodie bags at the finish, a race medal, and the retail market that will host home-crafted goods for sale, food stalls, a craft beer garden and live entertainment.
