A total of 19 people sustained minor injuries and one person sustained moderate to serious injuries, after two taxis and a BMW collided in Randpark Ridge on the afternoon of 12 July.
ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said ER24 and other medical services responded to the accident on the corner of Christiaan de Wet and Paul Kruger roads.
“Upon ER24’s arrival at 5.16pm, most of the patients were walking around on scene. The driver of the BMW sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital,” she said.
The driver of the one taxi was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated.
“Various medical services transported the patients to nearby hospitals.”
