Trinityhouse maths whiz through to third round of Maths Olympiad

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse High School Randpark Ridge celebrates the success of one its bright young stars who will participate in the third round of the nationwide Maths Olympiad.

Trinityhouse High School Randpark Ridge is thrilled about the success of one of its bright young stars, Michael Shi, who qualified for the third round of the country’s prestigious Maths Olympiad.

Michael, who is in Grade 9 was one of the 100 000 youngsters who participated in the Olympiad. The school’s marketing officer, Robyn Aingworth said in the first round only 100 seniors and 100 juniors qualified to move on to the third round.

“Our school had 26 junior learners along with 37 seniors who make it to the first round of the Olympiad,” said Aingworth. Of those who entered, 15 junior learners made it to the second round as well as 19 senior learners.”

Aingworth said this was a great achievement for Shi, who will now look to further excel in the third round which will take place on 27 July.
