The new principal sets high standards

RANDPARK RIDGE – The new principal promises to sustain the school's achievements while simultaneously adding more accomplishments.

The new Trinity House Randpark Ridge High School principal, Ferone Eckstein, is adamant that he will sustain the school’s standard which was set up before he took over the position.

He said it was a privilege being given the opportunity to be a principal.

“I am honoured and blessed to be given this opportunity,” he said.

Eckstein began his teaching career in 1995 at Roosevelt High School, after completing his BA degree and his post graduate diploma in education, both at Wits University.

He taught for eight and half years at Roosevelt, during which time he was promoted to grade tutor and head of extra murals.

He then moved to Randpark High where he spent twelve years. He was the school’s head of history for grades 10 and 11.

He promised that he would ensure that he would add to the school’s accomplishments which were acquired before his tenure.

“The school’s achievement is phenomenal and we need to build and safeguard that achievement. We need to improve on the legacy that has been established over the years. These include technology in our curriculum and extramural activities.”

He said he was planning to broaden the school’s name beyond the Randburg suburbs.
