South Africa’s most-watched talent search show, SA’s Got Talent, is back for its eighth season.

The show, which has created a host of successful artists, is on the lookout for South Africa’s next best artist, with auditions kicking off this month.

Hopeful contestants can attend the pre-auditions in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

Contestants who reside outside of Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal are still able to enter, by submitting videos of their show-stopping acts via an online submission form.

Entrants are urged to think outside the box and present their most quirky and creative acts to stand a chance to win the grand prize of R500 000.

The criteria for entry is as simple as ever: Any act and any age.

Details for the pre-auditions in Johannesburg are:

  • Dates: 6 and 7 May
  • Venue: The Pyramid Conference Centre
  • Gates open: 7 am

Important information:

  • Contestants who arrive after midday, 12 PM, will not be allowed in the pre-audition queue, so best to arrive early to avoid any disappointment
