5-a-side fun for charity

BORDEAUX – What an amazing day of great soccer and super spirit for Tom Sundawo.

Yet again the Ann Harding Cheshire Home 5-a-side soccer tournament fundraiser went off without a hitch on 1 April.

This year, eight teams participated in the tournament hosted at the Old Parktonian Sports Club.

Every year teams get together to take part in this charity event that raises funds for Ann Harding Cheshire Home resident, Tom Sundawo and others.

Tom Sundawo, who the event is in aid of, smiles with first place medals and a trophy.

The teams played a tough round robin and a series of knock-out 20-minute games. Fundraiser for the home based in Northwold, Jackie Kyle said,

“It was a rocky start but the day was a great success. It is so much fun seeing all these teams compete for a great cause. I would like to thank all the sponsors and those who helped make this event happen, it really warms my heart. Every year I worry that we won’t have enough teams to have the event but I am surprised every time. I hope next year is bigger than ever,” said Kyle

TP Mazembe grabs second place at the 5-a-side fundraiser.

Sports Fusion took first place this year followed by TP Mazembe with SAB Eight trailing in third place.

Third place is taken by the SAB eight team.
