The King’s School Robin Hills hosts an inter schools sports festival

ROBIN HILLS – Find out what happened at an epic sports day held at The King's School Robin Hills.

The King’s School Robin Hills’ Sports Festival was a jam-packed day filled with netball and rugby games, with local schools competing against each other.

The U14 King’s schools Robin Hills and West Rand School compete against each other.

Sportspeople, as well as their supporters, experienced a great start to the festival with games commencing at 8am on 11 March.

The King’s School Robin Hills puts up a strong defensive side against Reddam House Waterfall Estate.

Some of the schools which participated included Maranatha Christian School, Dainfern College, Waterstone College, Reddam House Waterfall Estate, The King’s School West Rand, Pecanwood College, Parktown Girls, Christ Church College and Alma Mater International School as well as Curro Krugersdorp.

The King’s School Robin Hills puts up a strong defense, but it is no match for Reddam players’ fast moves.

The games were great to watch and operated on a round-robin format, with each school able to play each other and embrace sport as the overall winner.

Reddam players seem to take the lead in the game against The King’s School Robin Hills.

The King’s School Robin Hills’ sports director, Shaun van Wezel said, “This is the first event of its kind and we will definitely be doing this for some time to come. It is the ideal festival for teams to prepare for the season as this was used as a pre-season festival. The aim would be to make it even bigger in 2018.”

Excellent passes by The King’s School Robin Hills.
