Keep working with us

City Power and Johannesburg Water have had a faster turnaround time than before.

Nicole van Dyk, Ward 99 councillor, wishes all residents a safe festive season.

“I think it’s been a very difficult year because we were pushing for the elections, but it paid off when we took the major metros. We suddenly had an opportunity to look at what is gong on in the City of Johannesburg. There has been a lot of maladministration and a lot of money that has gone missing. It is really sad.

“People realised this year, as they went to vote, what a privilege it is to have such a functioning democracy. There definitely have been residents who said the City looks a lot cleaner and that Pikitup arrives on schedule. City Power and Johannesburg Water have had a faster turnaround time than before. Metro police are more visible. If you get the basics right, everything else will follow.”

She thanked residents for their patience and interactions.

“Keep working with us, especially as we go into the new year when a new budget will be approved.”
