Lourie sprints to the win at Rand Park High
RANDPARK RIDGE – School spirit reigned as Rand Park High School gathered to compete against each other.
Rand Park High School hosted its annual Interhouse Athletics Day on 22 July.
The school’s grandstands were jam-packed with pupils sporting each of their house colours. Each house put forward athletes who competed in track events such as the 100-m sprint all the way up to the 1 500-m long-distance run.
Throughout the day, pupils bellowed from the stands and fields adding to the spirit of camaraderie.
House Winners:
- 1st Lourie with 558 points
- 2nd Martin with 482 points
- 3rd Bishop with 436 points
- 4th Shrike with 390 points.
Trophies went to the following pupils:
Junior Victor Ludorum – Hayden Millard, Grade 8
Junior Victrix Ludorum – Shakira January, Grade 8
Senior Victor Ludorum – Andrew Dresser, Grade 12
Senior Victrix Ludorum – Unathi Ndlovu, Grade 11.
