Bryanston power outage since 12pm

BRYANSTON – Suburbs in and around Bryanston have been affected by a power outage for almost 24 hours.

Residents are in an outcry over a power outage affecting large areas of Bryanston and surrounds.

Other areas affected are: Country Life Park, Solridge, Vandia Grove and Mill Hill.

The power outage occurred on 22 May due to a technical problem at Khanyisa Substation in Bryanston causing a power outage in the area. The problem seems to have been caused by a fire at the substation.

City Power spokesperson, Yumna Sheik, commented, “The technicians are already on site and working around the clock to put power back at the substation.”

This morning, motorists in the Bryanston area are still being affected as most traffic lights are out.
