It’s time to make someone smile forever

MALANSHOF – Join the team and take part in the #Operation45 Corporate Cup.

It only takes 45 minutes to change a life by joining the #Operation45 Corporate Cup tournament hosted at Fives Premier League (Randburg Five-a-side) on 14 May.

#Operation45, in partnership with Operation Smile South Africa, is a national awareness campaign that wants to encourage patients with cleft lips or cleft palates in need of surgery to come forward. The campaign reveals how fast and affordable it is to fix cleft lips or palates and also emphasises the difference the operation can make to an individual.

“The Corporate Cup event is the culmination of the #Operation45 series of documentaries in which we journeyed with two families as we repaired the cleft lips of their sons,” said Operation Smile South Africa communications coordinator, Sean Robson.

Robson explained that the operations were performed during the two halves of the Soweto Derby.

“We actually live tweeted during the operation and it was to show the public how quick the operation takes and how fast it can change a patient’s life,” added Robson.

The next exciting tournament that will be played at Randburg Five-a-side on 14 May will have teams consisting of five players each, and subs if need be.
