The project to complete the renovation of Delta Park School is finally underway after many delays.
Ward 117 Councillor Tim Truluck said the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure and Development partnering with the Department of Education had embarked on a renovation project.
This project started in 2015 but is not yet completed due to a number of tragic circumstances.

“As part of the Project it is necessary to ensure the use of local labourers and local sub-contractors on the project,” Truluck said.
He encouraged local SMME’s (Small Medium and Micro Enterprises) who are interested in applying for any sub-contract work that might become available to do so.
Local SMMEs and labourers within ward 117 and Region B can submit their company’s profiles to the site office at the Delta Park School.
Truluck further explained that the new contractor took over from the axed contractor.
Submissions for applications commenced on 25 April and will close on 4 May. Applicants should include the following documentation:
• Company profile
• Certified copy of company registration documents
• Original tax clearance certificate
• Copy of identity document of director
• Letter from the bank confirming banking details,
• National home builders registration council or construction industry development board grading certificates (if available)
• Proof of payment of rates and taxes (if available)
• Letter of good standing for workers compensation
• BBBEE certificate
There will be two boxes placed at the gate of the school for submission. Box one is for local labourers’ submissions of one page CV and box two is for company profiles and necessary additional documentation for SMME submissions.
