A man sustained fatal injuries and two others were injured early in the morning after a car rolled at the Beyers Naudé Drive and Johan Road intersection in the informal settlement.
ER24 paramedics along with other services, arrived on the scene on 25 April and found the vehicle on the side of the road with three bodies lying nearby. It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll multiple times causing all three male occupants to be ejected. On assessment, paramedics found that one patient was in a critical condition while the remaining two had sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics immediately treated the patients and provided the critically injured man with advanced life support.
Once treated, the patients were transported to various hospitals for urgent treatment. The critically injured man succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the hospital. Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
