Prime Circle at Cresta Barnyard

Since they first burst out of Witbank some 11 years ago, Prime Circle’s career has been an inspiration that has spawned hundreds of garage bands across South Africa, with starry-eyed young rockers hoping that one day, they might make it big the way Ross Learmonth, Dirk Bisschoff, Marco Gomes, Neil Breytenbach and Dale Schnettler did. Their 2003 debut, “Hello Crazy World”, rocketed to gold status in South Africa, with “Live This Life”.

Rus Nerwich Quintet Feat. Carlo Mombelli Live at The Orbit

South African saxophonist, composer and MC, Rus Nerwich pursues his life’s work with deep sincerity and passion. Nerwich is recognised as a musician who searches for new ways to engage the listener, an artist whose ‘success lies in his wealth of talent and incredibly inquisitive nature’.

Constantly working to evolve and grow, Nerwich is currently recording a new album, which will be released at the end of 2016. In the build up to the album release, Nerwich kicks off his European and Canadian tour with a series of live performances in Johannesburg and Cape Town in April 2016.

Cocktails at Newscafe Rivonia

Newscafe Rivonia debuts DJ Captain_Zee who will be leading from the decks playing special music. There will be cocktails and whiskey on offer and fantastic music to boot. This one is a no-brainer, so bring along great company and enjoy the evening.

Save a life

Join the Linden Live Saving Club for a fun filled morning with give-aways for children and those who are children at heart, CPR and lifesaving demonstrations and ice creams. Demonstrations will take place at the fountain area on the grass section. Come see what a rescue boat looks like and get your photo taken in one. Have a picnic, or pop in and have some fun outdoors! This event is in aid of increasing water safety awareness, drowning prevention and fundraising.

Skeletons galore

Come see the world’s most visited exhibition. Body Worlds Vital is an all-new, unique exhibition celebrating the wonder, resilience and fragility of the human body. Visitors will get a detailed look at the human body and its keenly intelligent design, explore how it functions and see what happens when disease strikes. Children are welcome so bring your little ones along so they can learn more about their bodies.
